Real Sisters Design is an interior consulting firm owned by real sisters Mary Wave and Carole Gabel.

In 1993, we embraced a new facet of our sisterhood and became business partners in home decor. We think it was meant to be. As typical girls growing up in Chicago, we found resources to play around with our creativity, doodling and painting and making appliqué dresses for our baby dolls (or was that last one just us?). Growing up into our own families and moving to our houses to decorate, we found a niche in the interior design world and we love it here.

When we began working together, our specialty was custom bedding and draperies, but we’ve proudly evolved into so much more. We shop new items, repurpose old ones, and even design from scratch. We do bathroom consults and kitchen redesign. We stage rooms for special events. We really run the design gamut.

Ultimately, we are in this business because we believe a home should be a reflection of its owner. We have our own taste, but our goal is help you explore your aesthetic and find an end product that speaks to it. Your home should delight you. It’s our business is to make that happen.
